Thaipusam is a Hindu festival celebrated mostly by the Tamil community on the full moon in the Tamil month of Thai (Jan/Feb). The festival celebrates the birth of Murugan, the youngest son of Shiva and his wife Parvati.
As usual, every year without fail, me and my family would visit Batu Caves early in the morning. I wasn't able to go last year as I was just discharged from the hospital.. So this year came by and i really wanted to go. It was another early start this year as well. We reached there at 6.30am before the sun had even risen where we rushed to see my two beloved brothers who were full filling their vows as well.. But i have this really big phobia which is I get really nervous and scared when I see people in trance!! What a terrible phobia do I have?!? Pheeww.. Yea back to my story.. They took sometime to prepare themselves and get all the stuff done so acha, amma and me planned to climb up the 272 steps and pray and then get back to them. So after praying and all, we got back to them and then they were prepared. The show time!! Scaaary!! I was so fast from them.. Sorry dear brothas!! You guys are really making me have goose bumps!lolx..and here are some of the pictures =))
